what is cahoots.?!

cahoots.?!

about: this residency acts as a disruption
to my own studio practice while simultaneously
providing the resources for an artist to visit and
work in chicago. this disruption could be a simple
negotiation of space, an impetus for collaboration
or an art-touristic interlude. additionally the residency
works to create an expanding creative network and
provide an opportunity to explore the resources of
chicago, both culturally and artistically.

directors, curators and facilitators: adam b. fung, charlene, and two cats.

resources: the city of chicago. 450 sq ft studio in my
home (shared space, with me). guest room with bed and bathroom.
lots of drawing materials. sluggish wifi. my art library.
some day passes to museums. knowledge of: galleries
in chicago, art events/lectures/openings, a small
network of artists and a wide range of ethnic eateries. bicycle.
lake michigan and beach are 6 blocks away. digital documentation
devices and printer. possible visitors-pass to gym.
attention hungry cats, 24 hrs a day.
shared kitchen and some shared meals.

application process: 10 images, statement of intent, short cv,
discussion with primary facilitator, abf.

availability: i am in chicago working full time as an artist so the dates
are flexible throughout the year. stays up to 4 weeks. ability to work in
